I am deeply committed to guiding children and teens through the challenges and victories of their developmental years. My journey in this field is more than a career; it’s a calling, rooted in my own experiences and the profound belief in the resilience and potential of every young individual.

My professional path has been rich and varied, giving me a broad perspective on the mental health landscape. I’ve led therapeutic groups, directed programs for child and adolescent psychiatric rehabilitation, and managed outpatient mental health clinics. These roles have allowed me to support a wide spectrum of needs, from ADHD and anxiety to social phobias and early-onset depression, helping young minds find balance and strength.

I am a life-long Washingtonian and I have a BA in Psychology from the University of Miami and an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Howard University

I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland and also a National Certified Counselor (NCC)

Throughout the past 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to supporting individuals through a variety of therapeutic roles. My experience spans from child and teen counseling and leading therapeutic groups to directing child and adolescent psychiatric rehabilitation programs and managing outpatient mental health. In these roles, I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals through their unique challenges, focusing on areas such as ADHD, anxiety disorders, social phobias, early onset depression, and grief counseling.

I’ve also worked extensively with child, adolescent, and young adult populations, tailoring my approach to meet their specific developmental and emotional needs.

I work with children and teens, ages 4-18.
