I am your Child, Teen, and Family Therapist…
I work with children and teens. I also work with their parents and caregivers, and with adults who are looking for individual therapy. I see clients in person at our Tysons Corner office.
Many of the families I see are dealing with anxiety, stress, or a low mood, or with the everyday challenges of ADHD and neurodivergence. Others are adjusting to something new: a new school, a change at home, a different stage of life. With adults, the work is often around anxiety, depression, stress, or trauma.
My goal is for every client to feel comfortable and safe enough to be themselves, without judgment, and for parents to come away feeling informed and confident in how they support their child.
My approach…
With younger children I use Child-Centered Play Therapy, which lets them express and work through feelings in a way that feels natural to them. With teens and adults I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Both are evidence-based approaches that help clients recognize unhelpful patterns, manage difficult emotions, and move toward what matters to them. I also provide trauma-informed therapy, at a pace that feels safe for each client.
Parent involvement is central to my work with children and teens. Sessions stay centered on the child, and I meet with parents and caregivers as a team, offering psychoeducation and practical guidance so that progress continues at home. I also provide family therapy focused on strengthening relationships, communication, and the everyday skills families need to support one another.
My education and experience includes…
a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a Supervisee in Social Work in Virginia.
